"The Lion of Judah" A painting by Diane Deason

Hello everyone, My name is Diane. I have been a caregiver for my Mom for the last 19 years. She was diabetic, blind and in the middle stages of dementia. I believe God gave me an Artistic talent early on because He knew I would need a stress reliever in the later years. If it were not for this and my precious husband I would have gone crazy trying to care for my Mom, as the only child. All of this is leading to a story about the painting shown here. When I finished painting this Lion I noticed a cross formed on the forehead by darker hairs, that was not in the reference material. I had just come about on its own during the painting. When I noticed it, I decided to put cross shaped white highlights, one in each eye, to make this a testimony to my belief that God gave me this talent as a means of dealing with the stress. Since June of this year I have started putting a cross shaped symbol in each of my paintings as a tribute to Him. If you are unable to see these paintingsw large enough you can go to www.yessy.com/dianedeason and enlarge the thumbprints. All of my art is there. Thank you for your consideration of my work, Diane Deason
